For employees

Your employer gives you back-up care. Here's how to use it.

When your regular care falls through — for a child, an adult who can't be alone, or a pet — you can book vetted care instead of taking the day. Your employer pays most of it.

When you'd use it

Four mornings this is for.

The sitter just cancelled

It's 6:40am. Open the app, pick your kids, pick the hours, submit. You'll have a caregiver's name, photo and ETA before you've finished making coffee.

School's closed tomorrow

Snow day, teacher work day, or a closure you found out about at 9pm. Book the night before and it's settled before you go to bed.

Mom's coming home from the hospital

She can't be alone for a few days and you're out of PTO. Book to her address, in her timezone — you don't have to be in the same state.

I'm travelling and the dog can't be alone

A cancelled flight, a delayed connection. Book a drop-in visit for tonight and another for the morning. You get a photo from each one.

How it works for you

Request, confirm, done.

Designed to be usable one-handed, on a phone, before you've had coffee, while someone is crying.

  1. 01

    Tell us what you need

Care type, who needs it, when, and where. About two minutes. Your copay is shown before you submit.

  2. 02

    We find someone

A vetted caregiver comes to the address, or we reserve a seat at a licensed centre. You see their profile, credentials and ETA.

  3. 03

    They arrive

You get a message when they're on the way and a note at the end about how it went. Then get on with your day.

Get the app

Book from your phone, because that's where you'll be.

Questions

Especially the one about privacy.

What does it cost me?
A copay per use, set by your employer's plan. Your employer covers the rest. You see the exact copay before you submit a request — there is never a surprise charge afterwards.
Does my employer see who I booked care for?
No. Your HR team sees that a booking happened and that it drew on your allowance. They do not see who was cared for, any medical information, or the caregiver's care notes. That's enforced in the database, not by a policy.
Can I book care for someone who doesn't live with me?
Yes. A parent, a grandparent, a relative in another state. Book to their address and everything is shown in their local time.
How many days do I get?
Your allowance is set by your employer's plan and is shown in the app. You can see how many you've used and how many are left at any time.
What if you can't find anyone?
You use your own person — a grandparent, a neighbour, your usual sitter — pay them, upload the receipt, and we pay you back within five business days at a capped daily rate. It comes out of the same allowance.
What if I cancel?
More than 12 hours before the start, it's free and your day goes back. Under 12 hours, the day is used and the caregiver is paid a guarantee — they held the time for you.

Your employer already paid for this.

It only helps if you use it before the morning it matters.
